Nautical Safety Foundation was recognized by the Oregon State Marine Board for our contributions to keeping Oregon’s waters safe.
The foundation was formed in 2013, by four boaters, who wanted to make a difference by providing life jackets so people safely enjoy water activities. These founders saw empty life jacket kiosks all along rivers and lakes and set out with one goal: make sure kiosks have life jackets.
The Nautical Safety Foundation supports 37 water safety organizations in Oregon and SW Washington, supplying life jackets to 150 kiosks! Roughly 75% of the kiosks are in Oregon and the rest in SW Washington.
